i have the CD...given to me by a Waits fan who hated it, so I've been waiting for the appropriate, judgment-free time to listen...I think that time is approaching...
As a Waits fan I suggest you erase all knowledge of Waits from the record before listening. Of course it won't compare. Take it as its own thang.
